The Team Approach
East End Chiropractic is directed by chiropractic physician Dr. John P. Olsen. Dr. Olsen is a graduate of Logan University’s College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. He is an experienced Doctor of Chiropractic and continues to keep up-to-date on the changes and advancements of the chiropractic field. He has quite an impressive record for helping people who suffer from back pain, neck pain, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, pain/tingling in arms and legs, and increasing overall health by improving the integrity of the nervous system. He is a member of the Tennessee Chiropractic Association.
At East End Chiropractic, we have a team approach to patient care and education. In addition to working with Dr. Olsen on Chiropractic care you may also benefit from some of our other services. When you partner with us on the road to better health we may recommend custom fit orthotics, land or aquatic exercise therapy , massage therapy and health education opportunities.
Custom fit Orthotics : After analyzing your feet and walking gait , Dr. Olsen will design orthotic shoe inserts to adjust faulty foot structure or poor body mechanics. Inefficient foot placement can adversely affect your back resulting in pain and muscle tension.
Exercise Therapy : A mobility and exercise program can help you strengthen, stabilize and stretch your back and other painful or tight areas. An individualized therapeutic exercise routine will be developed for you for either land or water or both. Aquatic exercise therapy uses the buoyancy and resistance of water to gently heal and strengthen the body in a totally balanced environment.
Massage Therapy : Therapeutic massage can reduce stress , improve circulation, increase joint range of motion and flexibility, reduce muscle tightness and soreness, and provide a general sense of relaxation. Used in conjunction with the other therapeutic modalities pain can be significantly reduced and energy can be effectively restored.
Patient Education : At East End Chiropractic we believe it is important that you understand what is going on with your body and how we can help to improve your health. We offer new patient education sessions and short workshops on specialty topics to enhance your understanding of anatomy, how exercise affects the muscles and other structures, why we have pain, how important nutrition and hydration are to overall health , how mindset and emotions affect us physically, and how to cope with stress.
